Caring for your BRR knits

Always store your BRR knits folded, rather than hanging up, to minimise stretching.

Wool has natural self-cleaning properties - so you only need to wash your BRR knits garment in the case of spillages or stains.

A spot wash will remedy this in most cases - use a damp cloth to wipe the affected area and leave to dry flat in the shade.

If you need to wash your BRR knits piece, follow these care instructions:

~ Gently hand wash in cool water with a small amount of natural detergent (avoid fabric softeners, bleach, napisan, tea tree oil or brightening agents).

Leave to soak for around five minutes before rinsing thoroughly. Be careful not to wring, tumble dry or rub the wool, as it will stretch/shrink and lose shape.

Instead, lay your garment out on a towel and roll, pressing gently, to absorb excess water. Dry flat, out of direct sunlight, and store folded neatly.

Pilling is a natural result of friction and wear. To manage pilling on your BRR knits garment, carefully trim with scissors, or use a depillar.

Stretching may also occur due to the hand-knitted, open-weave nature of each BRR knits garment. To re-shape your jumper or shrug, wash carefully following the instructions above, only use WARM water to slightly shrink the fit.
